About the collection
A four-poster bed for the garden
Frinier drew Daydream as an invitation to the dreamer in everyone. The bed is generous in size, so you can lie on it alone or share it with family and friends. People read on it, talk, have a drink, dry off after a swim or doze through the heat of the day. The canopy overhead makes it feel like a room of its own.
The weave follows the Viennese cane pattern known from classic cafe chairs, an open lattice that lets air and light through. Dedon's weavers make it by hand on Cebu Island in the Philippines, using Dedon Fiber produced in northern Germany. The fiber resists chlorine, salt water and sun, so the daybed can sit beside a pool or on a coastal deck.
For the collection's twentieth anniversary, Dedon added citrine, a bright colorway in the punchy spirit of its early designs. Cushions come in the Natura, Caleo, Tucson, Gaia, Muse, Nube and Borneo fabric families. Pair the bed with the Daydream side table so a book, a glass and sunglasses have somewhere to go.
