About the collection
One clear form for lying in the sun
Frank Ligthart says his work turns a concept into a clear form and leaves out decoration that does no work. Leaf follows that rule. The chair keeps to one woven shape you lie back in, and the weave carries its character. Dedon counts Leaf among its award-winning collections.
Dedon's weavers make each Leaf lounger by hand at the company's own workshops on Cebu Island in the Philippines. The fiber comes from Dedon's plant in northern Germany and holds up to chlorine, salt water and sun. That makes Leaf a good fit for a pool deck, a beach house terrace or an open roof.
Care is short. Wipe the weave with a soft cloth or brush, warm water and a mild cleanser when it needs it, and use the Dedon fiber, teak and upholstery cleaner on stains. Keep alcohol and solvents off the fiber, and rinse away sunscreen, wine or citrus before they sit on the surface.
