Dedon Loon brings light to Dedon exterior furniture. Sebastian Herkner set a round, balloon-like shade on a teak stand, and the lamp gives off a warm glow for a garden or terrace after dark.

About the collection
A balloon of light on a teak stand
Herkner wanted outdoor lighting with the personality of an indoor lamp. The shade is off-white polyethylene shaped like a balloon, held up by a teak pedestal. Loon took a design award in 2018. Dedon made it as a partner to Herkner's Mbrace chairs, and it fits beside the rest of the Dedon range as well.
You can choose Floor Lamp S or Floor Lamp L. Put the small one next to a lounge chair or at the end of a sofa. Use the large one to light a dining table or a path through the garden. Two or three lamps of mixed sizes give a terrace a soft, even light.
The stand is teak, which holds up to rain, strong sun, frost and swings in temperature. Left outside, it weathers from golden brown to silver-gray, sometimes unevenly at first. To keep the warm tone, clean it with Dedon care products once or twice a year and apply Dedon Teak Color Protector at least twice a year.

What is the difference between Loon S and Loon L?
Both use the same off-white shade on a teak stand. The L is the larger floor lamp, the S the smaller one. Ask us for the measurements of each.
Will the teak on a Loon lamp turn gray?
Yes, outdoors teak weathers to silver-gray. If you want the golden color, clean it once or twice a year and treat it with Dedon Teak Color Protector at least twice a year.
