About the collection
The same embrace, a different base
Mbrace made its name with a mix of hand-woven fiber and teak. The Alu version keeps the wide, wrapping backrest and the weave, then sets the chair on a base cast from aluminum. You get a cooler, more graphic look that sits well next to stone, concrete and glass on a modern patio.
Dedon offers the aluminum base on four pieces: the wing chair, the armchair, the lounge chair and the matching footstool. The club chair sits in the same listing. Ask us which base your club chair takes before you plan a mixed group of teak and metal.
The shell is Dedon Fiber, made in Dedon's own plant in northern Germany and woven by hand on Cebu Island in the Philippines. The fiber stands up to sun, salt water and chlorine, so a chair can live by the pool or on a coastal deck. Fiber colors run from Sea Salt and Baltic to Arabica, Chestnut, Alloro and Pepper.
Counting piece, fiber color, base material and base color, Dedon lists more than 70 Mbrace combinations. Cushions come in Dedon fabric families such as Natura, Caleo, Tucson, Gaia, Muse, Nube and Borneo. Tell us the pieces and colors you have in mind, and we price the exact configuration.
