Dedon Mbrace is the Dedon outdoor furniture collection Americans search for most. Sebastian Herkner wove it around one gesture, a chair that wraps around you, and paired the fiber with teak legs or a die-cast aluminum base.

About the collection
A chair shaped like an embrace
Herkner wanted to use the old technique of weaving to make a design that reads like a gesture, the gesture of embracing someone. The wide backrest does that. You sit inside the shape, and it holds you even with the cushions off, which he designed for on purpose so the chairs stay comfortable in the off-season.
The weave is a mesh-like triaxial pattern of hand-woven Dedon Fiber. Herkner and Dedon built the colors with colorist Giulio Ridolfo, and the range runs from pale Sea Salt to dark Pepper and warm Chestnut. The Mbrace club chair on our home page shows five of them.
The collection covers a whole patio. You can choose a club chair, wing chair, lounge chair, armchair or rocking chair, add a footstool or a daybed, and finish with side tables, a coffee table and solid teak dining tables in 200 and 270 cm lengths. Their narrow, surfboard-like tops keep people close across the table.
Dedon counts more than 70 combinations of piece, fiber color and base. If you want the aluminum base instead of teak, look at Mbrace Alu, which covers the wing chair, armchair, lounge chair and footstool.
