Dedon Swingrest is the Dedon patio furniture family for people who like to sway. Daniel Pouzet kept the basket-shaped bottom of his Nestrest and built a new seat around it, one that feels roomier and takes up less space.

About the collection
Built on the Nestrest basket
Swingrest shares part of its name and most of its structure with Nestrest, the hanging lounger Pouzet designed earlier with Fred Frety. He kept the woven basket you sit in and built a new piece around it. The seat feels more spacious once you are inside, and from across the garden the piece takes up less visual room.
The range goes well beyond one swing. You can hang the lounger with or without a canopy, or pick the Swingrest standing lounger, which sets the basket on a base for decks without a beam. SwingMe is a lounge chair of its own, there is a second lounge chair, and the SwingUs 2-seater, with its own canopy, holds two people side by side.
Dedon weaves every piece by hand on Cebu Island in the Philippines, in Dedon Fiber made at its own plant in northern Germany. The fiber resists chlorine, salt water and sun. Besides Natural, Swingrest comes in olive, a strand of Dedon's matte touch fiber with a muted green tone that Dedon drew from the olive fruit.
Clean the weave with a soft cloth or brush, warm water and a mild cleanser. Keep alcohol and solvents away from it, since they can mark the surface. Cushions come in the Natura, Caleo, Tucson, Gaia, Muse, Nube and Borneo fabric families, so you can match the seat to the rest of your patio.
